Production Planning & Control


Productions Planning:

  • Develop and maintain production plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather information and align production schedules with demand.
  • Create production schedules that balance machine and labor capacity with production requirements.

Inventory Planning:

  • Monitor inventory levels and order raw materials or components as needed to support production schedules.
  • Implement inventory control strategies to minimize excess or obsolete inventory.

Resource Optimization:

  • Optimize machine, labour, and equipment utilization to ensure efficient production and cost-effectiveness with Production, Process and Maintenance Leads
  • Coordinate with supply chain management team for continuous production raw-material availability

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that production plans consider quality standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to address any issues affecting product quality and production schedules

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the production planning and scheduling process.
  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Foster collaboration and communication between various departments, including production, procurement, and logistics.
    • Communicate production schedules and changes to relevant stakeholders.

    Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Collect and analyze production data to evaluate the effectiveness of production plans.
    • Generate reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and make data-driven decisions.

    Requisite Skills:

    • Outstanding understanding of product strategy and quality assurance principles
    • Demonstrable background as a manager of production planning
    • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
    • Working familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems is required
    • A clear demonstration of sophisticated production scheduling abilities is required

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

    Experience: 5-8 Year
